    Default Hard Luck...let it begin

Got out for some hard luck today. Nothing new, lake to ourselves, void of anyone else during the time we were present. We found a spot with about 4 inches of ice over a depth of 120 feet. 9 hours between 2 anglers and only 2 bites, 1 fish to the surface. Photo quickly and the fish was turned, revived and released. The arctic char went about 30 inches.

Yes.....but make it a replica instead of a skin mount. I've got quite a few skin mounts of salmon/trout and I also have quite a few replicas. Replicas are superior, in addition, it doesn't hurt to keep the gene pool in the lake.

for all u diehard hardluck boys be careful out there. All the snow this past wk made for overflow on the lake the ice is now weak at 300 yards out and by the boat launch. Walked out today and watched 100 yard of ice crack under my feet and drop down even at 20 below
