    Default Grizz are out... where's the blackies?

    Default Pretty Sure...

    Pretty sure it was fresher than that. This was next to a creek and the other moose tracks that were around it were very old comapartively speaking... the claw marks were pretty sharp and look like they are long... there were other tracks and some looked like dog next to people prints but this one intrigued me.

    By the Way... that is a size 11.5 boot just to give you some idea of the monster that left that.

    Here is my sons black bear from Unit 1A He got it Saturday afternoon (4-28-07)

    He is fleshing the skull as I type. it rough measures at 19.5" I will post an update on the skull size when We finish cleaning it and get a good measurement. The hide was off the bear laying flat unstreched to get the 6'10" sq.

    The black bears are being seen daily now on Elmendorf AB and Fort Rich.
