    Default Hey Pot Builder

Saw this and thought of you: http://anchorage.craigslist.org/boa/3383696202.html

These don't come up on the left coast very often. What do you think?

That is it. Interesting that the link I posted and yours goes to the same boat. Did my link work for you?

First link didn't work for me either?? There are quite a few down east boats in California in the crab & lobster fisheries. Duffy's are a good boat but one of the 40ft models, don't know if its the 41 or 42, were not too well liked i think because they rolled really bad. A good friend of mine has a 42 and its a tank.
No mention of engine hours or gear on the boat, looks like its rigged with a davit mounted hauler, if its a good one price might be ok but its still a old hull so i'd bet its been rebuilt. Thinking of getting rid of the tin can and getting a clorox bottle ??? I'd hate to see what a trailer for that one would cost never mind the truck to pull it with.
If i was looking for another boat i might go look at this one http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/boa/3316213158.html little bit easier to handle.
This one is a super clean boat and the price is right , it rode out Sandy safe and sound on the hard in a marina. I'd bet the owner will be more than willing to deal.

No, not in the market. I still am enjoying the alloy, but once I get tired of fishing and playing on her I might consider getting a boat that requires a bit more elbow grease.

    Nice looking hull, though.

You should be enjoying that great looking rig of yours at least those metal boats have curves to them, most look like they were built by a house carpenter with a level and a square
On another thought there are going to be thousands of boats available from that mess they have going on back east due to Sandy, ground zero is where i used to live and fish out of and i just can't believe the destruction back there. Like i say thousands of boats will be available from the insurance companies though i wouldn't even think of buying a used car back there for many years.
