    Default Kodiak Kings

OK, well I didn't get any kings, but we did get out this past weekend. Ran to Petro and filled up, found fish near town, they were running through the gear, just wouldn't go. Went back out Sunday morning, hit Kalsin Reef. Port outside rigger went and line was going, dropped that fish, then it went again, what we thought was a small king turned out to be a smallish ling. Put one nice rockfish in the boat and that was it. Hit kaslin Bay as well, no joy, was on teh move and got a nasty vibration in teh outdrive. Got home and found u-joints are shot. Tearing it apart, hopefully I'll be back out again this weekend.

Pretty sure the same as you, DPH behind a D4260. Tore the outdrive off last weekend. Found that the seal for the bearing packs in the transom went. Called the boat builder, I can get those at NAPA, they even gave me part numbers.
