    Default When does bings close?

I was wondering when bings landing closes, and if anyone has been down from Skilak lately

I don't think it does close, but if you have to you can use dots or other places around that area. Haven't been down there in 2 weeks, I would like to know what the water is like. Is it still do able in a power boat?

I wouldn't worry about bings being closed. I have never seen it closed. I have seen ice shelfs that are 8 ft above the water that make it very tough to laucn or take out though.
If you don't have a jet you better know exactly where to go. It's getting pretty skinny. I have seen props down to about 2500cfs before, but it is usually the guys that do know where to go. The last time I was down, I saw multiple boats hit gravel bars. Good luck and dress warm

Bings you might need 4 X 4 to get up the hill from the water line , was there a couple of years ago an the ramp [ not to steep ] but needed a winch to get up the ramp even with a 4 X 4 [glear ice , dropings from the boats coming out ]

Well "full" might be an overstatement. Still trout being caught though.

i have been thrown beads, flesh hasn't been working well for me this year, but there were a lot of fish in the river late this year so they might turn on to flesh late.

Ha I know I was just messing with you. I agree, if you can navigate the water and deal with the cold you should catch something.

just checked flow rates again, I am pretty sure this will be the last week I would try and run the river with a prop. I tell you what I know for one thing, once I get moving I am not going to roll off the throttle!

well my choices just got a little easier. Can any one tell me if it is windy on the river or not? I would hate to drive all the way down there just to find out it is to windy to fish.

It was windy in town today. So usually if its windy in kenai it is going to be windy on the river. And even worse on the lake. So im going to skip tomorrow unless i wake up and it is epic weather. So prolly gonna change the oil and put er way for the year.
Time to get out the spey and go chase steel a little further south on the road.
