    30-06 is hard to argue against. This kind of thing has been beaten to death but a .338 would cover all your bases.

    Daisy 880 ten pump bb gun, then if you come across a big animal you can switch to pellets!

    Crap you were the the first to list a gun I don't have. I had hoped my daisy 760 would be enough. I will go shopping tomorrow.

    I have to second Matts choice in firearms for your upcoming hunt. Hard to go wrong with the .50 cal, then again some naysayers on here are going to cry about it having a muzzle brake.

    with my new revived interest, thanks to a forum member....I think the best all round ak rifle is a .54 thompson center renegade percussion muzzle loader single shot.. if I miss the smoke from the black powder migh choke em if I am close enough...
