I've picked Jackpot Bay as the starting point for a paddle this summer. It looks like there are quite a few small lakes and streams to explore with a fishing rod.
What would make me very happy would be if I could get out of the float plane, unload, and not have to assemble my kayak or haul gear in it the first couple of days.
That would mean landing near some good camping, though. Can anyone give some guidelines on which part of the bay would have decent camping? I'm guessing the mouths of the creeks would be heavy with bears, but I don't want to be too long a walk from them either
GPS would be great, but general pointers will help a whole lot too. I've got some good topos to check against.
