    Aviators,

    Cessna has unveiled a 230hp turbo-diesel C182 for 2013. (actually burns Jet-A)

Given the improved fuel economy, it could be a good thing for getting around Alaska?

Can an STC for C180's be far behind . . .

and higher HP motors are being developed by the engine manufacturer.

    Thanx, Dave.

Maybe if you can pony up the 500k for it.

Neat addition, but what is the availability of Jet-A in rural alaska? I know in SE it can be a haul your own situation.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Jet a is very available in the bush, the caravan and a lot of the Helos use it.

could there there a Diesel Stc? Other airplane STCs?

I could see a small market in those who work in commercial fishing.
