    Default my bear encounter.

    Hi,
when i was about 15 i always remember my encounter with a grizzly, it was probably the scariest moment of my life, but also the most fascinating.
basically me and my best friend at the time were just casually walking through denali park which we went on a camping holiday with our parents.
it was pretty early in the morning and we just decided to see what we could find, we wondered quite a distance from our parents. we came to a thin stretch of path with a sudden corner, when we turned around the corner, we saw a huge grizzly walk straight across the path. we immediately froze and just sort of stared at it. the bear charged at us and then just stopped right in front of us, i don't really know what happened but when it got to like 5 foot in front of us it just stopped, sort of shrugged and just turned away and headed in the woods.
i remember telling my father and him just laughing and calling me a fibber, but i can remember it clear as day and so can my friend. a truly amazing experience i think. always had a love for bears since that. :)
