Are the K Pen blackies still out on the hills? Would it be worth the trip on the 13th or 14th?

I've seen them out as late as Nov 19.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

Saw a really nice one yesterday and four on the same mountainside last Sunday. If the goats keep eluding us, I'll be looking for a bear next weekend.

I was out on the Kenai today and saw six. The one I liked was just a little to late in the day to go after. There's probably little chance he'll be in the same area next weekend but I'll definitely be down there to take a look.

Killed a 6' Saturday right on the beach and seen one more up high. Not bad considering I wasn't looking that hard and was there to kill ducks, when a bonus bear literally walked into our laps.

Ok, I did something wrong then. I saw 10 in the last 2 weeks, 9 were sows/cubs. Only solo bear was in Russian Campground. O well, be back next spring. I did spend a lot of time fishing though, which I don't regret at all, it was good fishing.

Sorry that I didn't connect with you while you were up here, though I'm glad to hear that you got into some good fishing.

I was out today and put a stalk on a really nice one but he was gone when I arrived in the area two hours later. I will be out again next week as well. Keep us all informed on what you see out there.
