    Default ice-out in lower Mat-Su

I was wondering when the lakes around Willow and Houston become ice-free. Does anyone have a current update for the area, or is it a bit too early to be asking?

i took a drive out that way on sunday, and the lakes visible from the road are still completely iced up, except for where creeks run in - there is a small open area. i'd say there's still a little while to go, but if the weather stays well above freezing every night and gets around 50 every day, maybe it'll happen fast. at this rate, a couple weeks or so would be my guess.

fishing isn't about life or death... it's more important than that.
