Default Snow just about gone, & willow showing its colors

Willow flowers are showing all around the interior of Alaska. It's very easy to drive or walk-by and miss this flower, unless one is looking at it through a zoom lens. Used a Canon Rebel XT and a Sigma lens set to macro.

And this one was taken perhaps 200 yards from the willow flowers. This is the Chena River at the Recreation area in North Pole. There was a small ice jam not too far down there. The water began rising on the rocks I was standing, and then dropped to normal level when the water broke the ice jam. The photo would have looked better with some clouds in the horizon, but the sky has been bare lately.

I am already taking Allegra for the itchy eyes, running nose, and sneezes

The worst is yet to come: birch pollen
