Thread: Moose cape cost?

    Default Moose cape cost?

Does anyone know what a moose cape would cost? Either "raw" (just the skin) or tanned. I am curious for future info - the time/energy and cost of getting a cape out of the field and tent the lower 48 adds up a lot and buying a cape might be a better option.

    Default Moose cape cost?

If you need a cape PM me I may be able to put you in touch with a fella who has one.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

    I buy several each year.

The price I pay is dependant on size & if there is any damage to the cape.

We give between $200. to $300.

If we are mounting the Moose that you are buying the cape for, I only charge what I paid for the cape, to keep the cost of your mount reasonable.

If I sell them to anouther Taxidermist, I add on anouther $200. to the sale price, That also includes Shipping though.

I have a couple of Xtra large ones in right now & several 36 to 38 " neck capes, if anyone is needing one.
