    Default Wife first ever animal!

    image.jpg
The story well we took off from camp headed towards xxx lake... Bou tracks
all over the trail kept telling her they are out here somewhere. Stop and
glass I spot a dandy bou about half mile out Patricia is not excited about
hiking as well as Nicole. I also spot a bull moose to but a little dink bull
2 brow tine. Nicole goes dad it will keep growing right I said sweety he is
done growing so she was bummed she couldn't shoot. So I try bush whacking to
that big bull to get closer. Bouncing along then bam a small Pond Patricia
goes let's just go back to the trail and see if we can find one. So back to
the trail we go... Headed back towards camp I look to the right there stands
a caribou. I pull the Binos up and say its a bull. I bail from the ranger
grab her gun and chamber a rd. the bou is probably 80 yds it's windy
Patricia asks for shooting sticks. I grab them get it adjusted for her. Bou
standing there eating not a care in the world. So she is set up and im
saying it's right there shoot... She goes I cant see it I was like its right
there then she dropped the f bomb I can't blanking see it uh oh she is mad
lol. Nicole is saying mom I see it. So I look and Patricia is pointed way
off in a different direction so I turn her rifle she sees it she goes I got
to load my rifle pulls bolt back I go what u doing its loaded she yells why
didn't you say so she loads it again. I say shoot it, she goes I can't the
wind blowing me all over she goes hold the shooting sticks ok so I crouch
hold the sticks then boom... I stand up bou hunched up uh oh... Bou turns
walks stops he is hurting I said shoot again she goes I can't see it, again
gun pointed in a different direction turn the gun again then boom and bou
goes down hard...high fives, hugs, nicole gives mom a big hug! 2nd shot high
shoulder shot great shooting I tell her. Drive ranger right up to it gut it
and head to camp to skin it. Patricia first animal ever she was pretty
stoked! First shot was a gut shot the wind and nerves I think played a factor.
2nd shot she was calmed down. Ruger 77 7-08 154gr Hornady
    bullets

Well done Patricia! My wife always asks me how I can see game driving down the road with just a glance at 60mph and she has a hard time finding it?

Lol that's so true... Her problem she has those high speed glasses that tint up when it's light outside... She said they were to dark and really made it hard to see animals...
