Default recommended reading: Meat Eater by Steven Rinella

Just finished this book, and I would say that Rinella is the best voice and the best spokesman I have come across for the future of hunting.

The picture of his sis-in-law fighting a halibut in her wedding dress (on her wedding day) is nearly worth the cost of the book alone!

Love his stuff. His book "American Buffalo" is one of my favorite reads. I read it twice before doing that same hunt with my Dad.

I've enjoyed a few episodes of his show. Hard to understand how he can move so easily between city and wilderness, but he seems to maintain his focus.

I read it on my Kindle while in caribou camp...great book.

My wife got me the DVD of the show- have to say the only hunting show I really have ever enjoyed.

His show just has that blue collar feel to it. So often these hunting shows are following trophy hunters on inclosed ranches where as Steven is in our element. Great show and great author!
