    Default cottonwood creek area

    just wondering what kind of birds everyones been shooting in that area! havent been down in a while. last time i was there it was loaded with teal and spoonbills. weekend before i shot all mallards. so whats moving down now? looking forward to a nice drake wigeon hopefully!!

    Mostly mixed bag, mallards, teal, widgeon, spoonies, we even got a lesser scaup Sunday. You never know what you will shoot out there.

    I shot a nearly full color widgeon on Monday. They are starting to fly in some pretty large flocks in preparation to head out. It changes daily though, one day I will see almost all one species of bird then see hardly any the next!
