My buddy from Smith & Wesson came up for the week and we would like to do a little waterfowl hunting but we don't know where to go, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not looking to steal favorite spots or secret areas, just a little guidence to help us just get out and enjoy a day on the water. We would love to possibly even go with someone in the know. I even looked for day guided trips but couldn't find much available
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and never repeated to anyone. Please PM me if you can help
Fin from Fish Alaska magazine
There are only a handful of places near Anchorage to go - Palmer Hay flats, Jim Creek, Portage/twenty mile, or the Anchorage Coastal Refuge. All public lands and all discussed over and over on here with lots of details on how to access them. There are no secrete spots near Anchorage.
You call Alaska Backwater Motors and see if Mark would be interested in some corportate hours taking you into the swamps.
I'll take you if you havent found anybody yet.
We have not, I don't think I can PM you yet though. Thanks for the offer, we will take you up on it!
