    Default Weekend Sharp Tails

Not a home run but a triple was nice. I saw lots of birds, they sure do flush quick. Guess I will keep at it a little longer with the sharp tails, maybe some ruffies befoe I officially start looking for rock ptarmigan. I hope to get a nice later season sharp tail for mounting. My first bird had too many pin feathers. heres some pics:

    Mr Owl was out

Mr Sharp Tail (I see you)

    This one is looking sharp:

Turned out to be a nice day.

Those sure are pretty birds. I saw some moose hunting last year. Never seen them before in the wild. At first I thought maybe they were ruff grouse. But color was wrong. Plus where I saw them isn't where I had ever heard of them being. But I saw them again this year in the same spot an I know that's what they were.
