Question Which flavor of salmon is this?

    What do you all think?

After we have a few guesses, I will let you know when and where this pic was taken.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

My first thought was Sockeye, but something didn't look quite right. Then I thought maybe some of those genetically engineered salmon they are trying to farm in Panama.

Is it an Atlantic? Picture too grainy to make out the speckles but...

Tail and dorsal fin looks like a sockeye, though the head shape looks a little odd.

That's what made me think it wasn't Alaskan. Looks enough like a sockeye, my final guess as stated above is kokanee

I guess posting this in "Freshwater Fishing" should have been a decent giveaway....

The pupil size looks like a chum, but the tail does not have near enough fork or width to it, also in all of my years comm. fishing I do not recall ever seeing a chum with a green back. To me it more resembles a coho as second choice except that the tail has too much fork and lacks "silver", and I can not see any specks on the back, maybe due to pic quality.

Salmon don't jump unless snagged in the tail. I don't see a fly in the tail so it has to be a steelhead

On second thought, I'll go with a sockeye.

I'll vote Red,....but all the mystery votes for Kokanee,...could be interesting to be wrong on this one

Something is definitely strange on the forward end of this guy,...but the back,....speaks Sockeye to me

Sorry for the pic quality... I blew them up 150% after cropping it so we could see it better.

I didn't see any specs either and with a forked tail I also think its a sockeye...

Download the pic then blow it up a few times. You will see the head is starting to turn green

Cant be a steelie, no spots on the tail. I'm thinking Sockeye also, looks like it has sea lice on it?
You know your not catching any fish when you start talking about the weather...
