    Default polaris 6x6 big boss w/tracks

    anybody have one of these? like to hear about it, pros and cons.

    Good buddy had one, on a 1994 400cc. Incredable traction and flotation with the tracks. Really cut gas milage about in half. Needed wheel spacers on that model, not sure about the newer ones. Very hard to steer and he broke three or four front tie rods as the tracks would push the ATV forward even though he was trying to steer right or left. They now make a heavy duty tie rod, about 50% larger diameter. Should work better. If you get tracks do your self a favor and get at least one tie rod and carry it with you. Not hard to change in the field with a few simple tools (not the kit that came with the machine though).

    i had a 97 model years ago, and the flotation was impressive. the one i am looking at now is the 6x6 with a track at each wheel.looking for comments on those too.
