    Default Kenai Rainbows?

New to Alaska, looking for a good spot on the Kenai for some Rainbow, Dolly, and Grayling Fly Fishing. I don't have a boat so I am looking for a spot that you don't need one to get to.

Russian river campground. Park somewhere and follow a trail to the river. Fish the Russian to the confluence with the kenai and down that shoreline as far as daylight allows. Expect to see bears and other people. Oh and right now the fishing ain't bad.

Keep your eye out for a 500 lb blond bear. He is a bit of a trouble maker. Watched him play with 6 fisherman running them down the bank with their jingle bells ringing all the way. Kind of funny from the other side of the river. Russian river camp is closed to tent camping.

fished across the street from the Skilak visitors center this morning, free parking and short (game) trail to the river did good on trout. LOTS of bear sign (there always is) so keep an eye out and the bear spray at arms reach.
