Default The Boys are Back in Town

Thin Lizzy said it, We just live it.

It's a sad sad day when true trout bums have to grow up and get real jobs. It was faaaaaar too long before I got to fish with some of the best and most fun guys I've ever had the fortune to call my friends. Enough sappy Sh**..

He treats every hole like an important job interview; it's easier with a buzz...

Shameless plug for Mike. He rocks, buy from him.

Yes, Yes ladies, this man is wearing a buff...

Blurry action shot; it happened so fast, I barely caught it.

    Injun Joe

    We don't JUST drink beer...

He actually looks like he knows what he's doing....

    Fishing Makes Joe Thirsty!!!

    Aaaahhh thats good!!!

Some say neck beard... but from here-to-forth it is to be called the MAN-buff.

Oh yeah, we catch fish too.

It's been far too long, boys!

    The hard earned big gulp.

Sorry about the water spots. He was angry.

    The nalgene holds more beer....

I am not against the flippin kenai, since I cannot but suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering every other stream... ~Paul O'Neil~/~Wyo2AK~

That made my day. Well done boys!

I too wear a buff. And have a neck beard. Double coverage.

    Cheers,

I've always known that we fish a lot. It's what we do when we are not hunting or, God forbid, going to school. Even then, we still talk about fishing. It's just what we do. So many times I have met icb at 7 am, just after he gets off work, to fish all day and strive to be back in town by 9 pm so he can get back to work by 10. Impressive drive? It gets better. The next morning, I find myself meeting him yet again at 7 am to further harass the Parks Highway rainbows. And when I look back and see him napping on a gravel bar in the sun next to a world class, gin clear trout stream, fly rod in hand, and wonder how he can possibly sleep at a time like this, I realize he has been awake for 40 hours. That, my friends, is dedication, passion, and true obsession. When I stepped back and saw the pictures on this thread of icb, muzzyman, and myself, together in our element after a summer of working hundreds of miles from one another, I realized just how special these photos are. This thread not only captures the fish, but rather the whole fishing experience. It portrays the pure joy of hanging out on a beautiful stream on a beautiful day with the best friends I've ever had. It wasn't until I saw this thread that I realized the true level of trout bum status we have achieved. In my eyes, we are the epitome of the Alaska trout bum, and I look forward to decades of catching trophy 'bows, drinking trophy beers (in a can!), and hanging out with two of the best friends and fishermen I've ever known. icb and muzzy, cheers!!!

Evidence of the great times you have together. The experiences you capture with your photos should be celebrated. Thanks for sharing them.

    Inspiring reminders of yesterday.
