    Default ERA flight has to turn around

    I wonder how this will shake out?????

    Llst 5,000 ft of altitude.... And then turned around and headed back to Anchorage.....

    I know a guy that was on board, said the ice coming off the props and hitting the fuselage was making a ruckus, and then it a huge dive and steep left turn. Most scared that he had been since Viet Nam. Another pilot I know was in the air at the same time behind and lower and said he got the fastest ice buildup he has ever seen. Sounds like a job well done for the ERA pilot.

    hold the handshake....aircraft stalled because of ice and leaving the autopilot on in the climb...sounds to me like a head-up-and-locked times two.

    No it was because they and the wrong CVR and FDR!
