Default Looking for a index of river, streams and such

I am looking for a book or website that has an index of the local rivers, streams and such. I asked the fish and game folks and they didn't have anything.

Would something like THIS work? http://outdoorsdirectory.com/activit...er-information (the list is at the bottom of the page, and links out to all available print and dvd resources on a given river). We have much, much more coming...

Yes that has some great info and I'll need to look at it on my computer instead of my phone to really see all the info. The fish and game have a great site for the lakes but not for the rivers. http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm...on&MgtAreaID=2 truthfully some like this is all I need. The name and location of the river and how to access it. Thanks again for the link.

It may not be what you're looking for, but this may be a place to start:

For what it's worth, there is waaaaaaay more content on this site than people realize. Most of us (myself included) rarely venture off of the forums, but there is a treasure trove of stuff in here.

Sometimes on this site they have an interactive viewer, which is slow but nice. At least it lets you know what to fish for.

Interesting, I will have to check out those google earth overlays! My cousin has a massive bound book from the 70's that shows every river and is keyed with what species of fish are in it, what salmon run, how far, where they spawn etc. Boy what I would give to have the same book but for big game!

I haven't had a chance to look at the activities page yet on my computer, been to busy getting firewood. Really my ideal site would be like the fish and game one that I posted. Just something that tells you where it's at and how to access it, also it would be nice to say what's in there.
