    Default Snowshoe Shelf

Just repurposed a pair of old snowshoes into a set of shelves for the cabin. I used a few pieces of unique, knotted birch and it turned out great.

I don't how old those particular wooden boxes are that are in your photo....

but when I was a kid on the homestead similar ones were used for furniture, cabinets, stools, storage just about anything you can imagine. Out in my storage shed is one of my prize possesions, a simple old blazo box from the 1950's or so. Those old wooden boxes are precious if you can get your hands on a few more and put them aside it would be the right thing to do.

There will be cans and box's at the Ak. Aviation Museum auction on the 29 of Sept. at noon. There is a list on C/L under general.

That reminds me of all the old gas boxes I used in the '80's for pack boxes for my pack string. I would glue and screw a piece of plywood on each end and drill a hole in each end for a rope and they really worked great. I flew into the Talkeetnas one time and at an air strip in an old building there must have been 50 or 60 old gas boxes and cans in the corner stacked up. Never made it back there. Also nice job on the snow shoe shelf. Ron.

Nice shelf. Might have to steal that idea and make a set myself.
    Thanks for posting the pics.
