Default Death of a Classic Fairliner

This is very sad. Last night at our marina in Kalama WA, this 50s Fairliner sank at the slip. It was later found the hull developed a crack. I again helped with my Sea Ray trailer. Man that thing was heavy!

What a bummer! I don't remember the statistic, but it a large percentage of the sinking happen in the slip. I better go on the Cliffside webcam and make sure mine is still floating...

That Fairliner looks like a ChrisCraft and yes jrogers a very large % of sinking happen at the dock. The #1 reason is BAD thru hulls and I think #2 is NOT tied up right.

I didn't know Sea Ray made trailers and YES those old wood boats are heavy, I hope you did not bend your axles or frame.

No Sea Ray didn't make trailers. It was my trailer I use for my Sea Ray....
