    Default Dog and Ptarm

Haven't posted much in awhile, so I figured I'd throw up a pic!

Paxson with a recent mess of ptarmigan.

I usually try to avoid messes but that looks like one I'd like to dive into. Is that the Franchi? How is that double gun holding up?

I love the gun. Light weight, I shoot it well, and decent to look at. Great gun for the money!

Nice birds Hoyt! Tomorrow is the big day for my pup, but she's been practicing on ptarmigan a little bit.

Great looking dog! Nothing like shooting birds over a great bird dog or even a half way decent bird dog. Sure miss those fall days in the field. Need to get another good bird dog one of these days and get that over under out of storage, its been way too long.

I can take her for a walk if you want... I'm assuming your double is a she. My Gypsy dog would appreciate the company.

PG13 thanks for the laughs and the offer! She is pretty comfortable sitting in her case dreaming but the good ole days. She lived through my Grandfather shooting her for years, then she put up with me shooting skeet, grouse, ptarmigan, ducks, grouse, and rabbits with her. Finally got her reblued after years of use and abuse and then only took her hunting a few times for grouse and doves. One of these days she will get back out in the field for upland birds.
