    Question Ketchikan Halibut question

I am new to the halibut fishing in the area on the north end of town and going to be up there for a week fishing the third week of September. What are the areas to look at and what type of structure should I try to find. We will be renting a boat and will be drifting, they do not have anchors.

Or if anyone wants to PM me any GPS numbers that would be great, they would be used once and destroyed.

Thanks, I do understand if no one gives me any exact spots- maybe some ideas where to go. I am use to being told where to go

    Mike

I don't know how many times you have fished there, but Ketchikan doesn't have the halibut numbers we used too. Glad for the limit of 1 per day because of the shear number of charters leaving daily in the summer from there.

Anyways, as a kid we would get good results by guard island and vallenar bay. You have to go so far out to get any good size halibut there now.
