Thread: Valley gunsmith?

  1. #1

    Default Valley gunsmith?

Looking for a gunsmith here in the valley. Simple stuff, swap the blackhawk hammer for a SBH hammer and maybe ream the throats.
    Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

Iím up on Lazy Mountain and thatís right up my alley. But Iíll be gone all week putting my Mom to rest in Arizona. House sitter canĎt check in guns or anything but Iíll be back Sunday 9/2 745-1904 or 841-7416.

WWG in Anchorage may be faster, donít know of anyone else in the valley for wheelgun work.

Not trying to take any work away from Andy but you can easily switch out the hammers yourself. Take your time and pay attention and they swap right out. I have done a couple of them at this point and enjoyed tinkering on my single actions. Still not to the point of trigger work though.

Yup, true enough, hammer should be pretty well just drop in. The measuring, reaming and so on takes some tooling beyond a screwdriver though, still DIYable but many don't want to invest and learn how for one gun.
