Default Yukon Men- "Hunt Or Starve"

"We gotta get the meat out of here right away.. the wolves smell blood, just like sharks with blood in the water.".
This show is ridiculous but somewhat entertaining.

Like every other reality show, overdramatized and staged.

The thing that gets me more than anything is how they always say "Here in Alaska, in the dead of winter..." But, you see rivers breaking up and enough sunlight to shoot hours of footage during the daytime... I don't get it, did I miss something?

Nothing like a gut shot caribou...........

The final head shot was sweet however. Surprised they aired that.
Actually got me in the mood to go fill my tag.

I am grateful for shows like this one. They are the reason I moved here 5 years ago. Saw some very inept city-folk dropped in the wilderness-aggravated me to the point of selling everything and buying that plane ticket.

Not so much for my part, but then I've only seen about 45 seconds of one episode; it's all my stomach could take........

I haven't seen the show but I don't understand the problem. With the price of wolf hides being what it is, what would be the problem with wolves showing up?

Don't we have a few peeps here from Tanana?

    What say you?
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

I can't make myself finish watching one of those hunting shows.

They give the wrong impression of hunting, as if all hunters are Good Ole Boys who talk like they've got poop in their mouth, love to kill things and dance around over it.

Just the Titles are enough for me to lose interest. "Killin and Grillin" for example.

It's hard to believe that there's an audience for such hogwash.

another stupid reality show that gives people the wrong impression. i love how they're down to their last piece of wood before they decide its an emergency and had better get more, same with the meat. you would think if the entire town is starving to death as the show suggests they would shoot more than one little caribou apiece. these shows are so played up its ridiculous. unfortunately we all support them by watching them even if we think they're stupid.

    I thought the same thing.....

But I really had to laugh when one of the guys said, as they took off on the snow machines, "the wolves will be following us home tonight"......

    What a joke.......
