Thread: New Rifle

    Default New Rifle

Today I went to pick up an 1895 winchester carbine in 30-06. I bought it used but it doesn't seem to of ever been fired. There are no friction or slide marks on the bolt. The only marks were on the hand guard the finish was a little worn and theres a mark that looks like it was leaned against something and slid down. The bottom front hand guard is a little wobbly but these are not a big problem as I did not buy this rifle to look pretty, I bought it to use and use often. I may have paid a little to much $1099 but as I live in NYS thats expected. Here are some Photos, and sorry for the quality.

The '95 never lit my candle, but that is a very nice rifle and I hope it serves you well.

Iv always been more into classic rifles but there are very few companies that remake these rifle and the ones that do are quite expensive. I could have gotten an original but I would think I be limited to the type of ammo I be able to use and possibly black powder. Thats why I bought a new production. Im not sure if winchester still produces these, Mine was from the 2006 limited line.
And iv been wanting one in 06 for a while but there were two problems I couldn't find one and when I did it was $1400 or more and i couldn't rationalize it. There not for everyone but im 100% satisfied with mine.

The rifle was made in Japan but you'd never know it as it is not marked made in japan anywhere on it.
