    Default caribou 26B

I am planing a hunting trip next year. Was considering flying out of happy valley but have heard that an outfitter there (70 north) has been cancelling trips due to no caribou where he drops. Can anyone comment.

I just got back from 26B and I saw some very nice Bulls, with one near 400 or better. Next year will be totally different than this year, as it is different every year. Mike is a good guy, which shows by him keeping clients updated on animal movement. Caribou are migratory and they can none today and thousands tomorrow and thousands today and none tomorrow. Book your trip and stay in touch with Mike. I have always seen a few good Bulls in the hills, even on bad years.

Mike is calling those scheduled to come to give them a heads up that the caribou hunting has been slow because they are scattered and low in numbers right now. He isn't cancelling any trips, just letting the clients know what to expect ahead of time. Also want to clarify that 70 North is an air-taxi service, they are not an outfitter.

Farmer, as Steve said it's never a sure thing on where the caribou are going to be and in what numbers. You can't go wrong with 70 North, just make sure you book early enough for next year.
