    Default Running up thte Talkeetna

    Been a while so I wanted to check w/ boaters in the know regarding any significant changes to the route up. Same as last year ?

    Pretty much was in the Spring. Have not been up since June.

    if you ran it last year and used the back channel all the way to the left going up you are in good shape. it is pretty much the same as last year. between larson and sheep it has changed some.

    Scratch my last post. I was up there last night and with the river running at 30,000cfs and rising to 11' i have no idea on where to run the river now. i watched old growth cotton wood trees go by and root balls what looked to be the size of SUV's, it was truely awsome to see the power of that river at those levels. We guessed they where going by at a speed of 10+ mph, i dont think you could run fast enough down the bank to keep up with the debris coming down.
