Selling the house and putting all my mounts in storage for what is hopefully a short period. Can the cold damage the mounts? Right now I have them in an unheated storage.

I've had some of my mounts (9 total) in cold storage in ND for 3 yrs with out any issue what so ever. Granted it was in a lower basement level section unit with no windows or such. Had my folks check on them every so often but nonetheless they were fine.

Mere cold temps shouldn't damage a mount. However, the biggest "enemies" of mounts during storage are moisture, insects, and rodents. If you have a storage unit that is free from those primary hazards, you should be okay.
