Got the Federal one in Anchorage yesterday. Much faster than waiting in the Post Office!

I just checked about obtaining the Federal Duck Stamp online and from what I could see, it isn't available for Alaska online. Did I miss something mit? It sure would be convenient for me...

    Walmart in ER had both.

Talked to the guys at trustworthy in Soldotna today. They are still waiting for the state stamps to arrive. They said it would be a couple of days.
I will probably look elsewhere tomorrow.

There can be. A lot of the birds bypass us and head down through PWS to avoid a longer open water crossing so they can follow the coast down. At least that is what the experts say. But we do have our local ducks and do get some of the ducks from up north passing through.
One of my favorites is the cast and blast. use my driftboat on one of our rivers and pick up some silvers as well as being able to jump shoot some ducks in the same trip.
There are quite a few guys who fish the Kenai flats and use one of the permanent duck blinds out there or bring a layout blind and fish the ponds out there.
There are several other places as well including some private property if you have the permisssion.
Last year we shot more Green wing Teal than anything but also some pintails and mallards.

FYI Walmart in Kenai had federal but no state.

More importantly, Sportsmans had a girl working the counter that told my partner he DIDN'T NEED a federal stamp. He argued and eventually the manager agreed he PROBABLY SHOULD have one...

I doubt anyone active on this forum needs that info but maybe some casual readers...

Trustworthy got their state stamps in.
As for not needing a federal one that's crazy.
Other than youth hunters the only exception is that those with a low income license do not need a state stamp.
Every adult needs a federal stamp.
