Default Christmas...I mean sheep hunting eve.

I'm on the 12 hour countdown until my departure. I'll be driving the truck south of Fairbanks with a bed full of avgas while my best friend flies his plane. Once we rendezvous at the strip we'll load up the PA-14 and head out for a week in the mountains. I have my bow dialed in to 60 yards, he has his .308 shooting quarters at 300. All that's left to do is print some maps on waterproof paper, lay both of our packs out on my deck to do a triple check on equipment, and actually get some sleep tonight. We both have mini-video cameras, so hopefully we'll do a better job of chronicling our adventure than we've done in the past. Wish us luck! I'm sure I'll have a story, but hopefully I'll have some good pictures and video to show as well.

I'm on the 6:00am Alaska Air flight out of Fairbanks on Monday... From there it's a C206 ride to the mountains, and a cub drop on a river bar. Looking forward too it would be an understatement.

    Good luck on your trip.

One week from today I will be in Alaska! I`ll have flown from Albany,NY to Chicago to Seattle and then to Anchorage. Jake will pick me up in Anchorage the following day and we will be taking a float plane into the Talkeetna Mts. for a backpack grizzly hunt. GOD, I hope I have a positive result story to share with everyone. I am psyched to get it under way!!!! Wish me luck!!

You guys are killing me, I'm not making it out this year. I do have a fine float trip planned for moose though.

Cheers and good luck to all.
