The Alaska Rifle Club will host two days of matches this coming Saturday August 18, and Sunday August 19 at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson's Pedneau Range. The Alaska Mid-Range Championship will consist of an aggregate of Match D and Match H. The winner must have fired both days to win this Award. There will be medals for both Prone (Sling shooters) and F-Class and if we get at least 5 shooters in each of F-TR and F-Open we will be able to separate them too. Each match stands alone, so you can go to both or any of your choosing. The match fee will be $20.00 if you only shoot one day or $30.00 if you shoot both days. Everyone is required to sign up in the parking lot adjacent to Pedneau Range. I have attached the Match Program. I have also attached an Hold Harmless form that the Army is requiring everyone to sign. Please print one for yourself and bring it. You only have to sign it once for the year and the club keeps them.
On Saturday the Mid-Range Prone/F-Class Regional Championship will be held. Match fee is $20.00. Sign up time will be 8AM -- 8:30AM. This is an 60 round Match with unlimited sighters in each position. Match rifles, service rifles and F-Class (Open & F/TR) rifle are legal for this match.

On Sunday the Mid-Range Prone/F-Class Regional 3 times at 600 yards Championship will be held. Match fee is $20.00. Sign up time will be 8AM -- 8:30AM. This is an 60 round Match and we will shoot 3 times at 600 yards, the first time will be 20 rounds + sighters, in 30 minutes, and the other 2 times will be 20 rounds + 2 sighters, in 22 minutes. Match rifles, service rifles and F-Class (Open & F/TR) rifle are legal for this match.

The Army has tightened the rules on bringing firearms onto the base. Because Pedneau is not on the main base, we do not have to worry about them. If you go through the main gate you must register all firearms.

The Army range control has taken a firm stand on range rules. There will be no personal vehicles other than the emergency designated vehicle on the Range. So, either you have to carry your equipment or put it in the emergency vehicle.

    Hope to see you there!
