Sportsmans whse has ALL but the fat... and when buying FAT from the supermarket.. do not buy beef Suet.. ask for beef FAT... ( i didnt know there was a difference till this last year either) its too hard and wont cook down in time. you;ll end up with dry burnt sausage.

check united rentals for a grinder on Knik

Many of the old places do not even sell fat anymore like 3 bears or the pay-n-save (no longer) as they have been using it themselves.
I think I bought some at Freddy's 2 years ago. Lately we have been grinding up boston butt roasts instead.

Freddies had beef fat 99 cents a LB. 3 Bears had pork fat but it was expensive at $1.99 per LB. Bought a grinder at Sportsmans Warehouse. Also got spices there. We'll see how it comes out. Burger is done. Sausage next.
