    What VHF Marine radio channel's do hunters use running the koyukuk?

    Suprised no one else posted, so here's what I did last year, like on the ocean side, I monitored CH 16 just like on the ocean. This is the standard call channel and I would expect that the barges that run the river plus any others would monitor here and then go to a working channel.

    This said, I never had any real traffic on the river when I ran from the bridge and up the Koyukuk and only passed one barge and he didn't say anything. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Tony, Ive never been up there so i was just getting together a phone list and Radio channel list just incase!

    If your radio can scan the channel that would be a good way to find what channels are being use.

    I don't want to change subject, You should also have a wiring diagram and extra fuses even throw you may not know what your doing someone else may. If another boat has a problem you could save there but.
