    Default Monument

Went back riding behind Eureka today and went all the way to the little nelchina. Beautiful riding a few fish here an there, 10 caribou, 1 fox, and one ptarmigan. Lots of exploring to come in the future!

Was curious though what the peak elevation is atop monument hill?

I was up at Eureka yesterday. Didn't go towards Monument, but rode the Outer Loop Trail, and Cottonwood Creek Trail. Saw about 50 caribou, some marmots, and a flock of ptarmigan. All in all, rode about 30 miles up there. Was pretty dry, but found some fun mud holes to play in.

You are right, there is a ton of exploring to do up there. Miles and miles of trails. It does get packed though during the hunting season.

I was up there on Saturday also. We went out on Crooked Creek trail from 4 Corners and then looped up behind over the pass and back down to the Nelchina river eventually coming back up to Monument. It was raining pretty good out back, really looked forward to getting back to the Monument area and the dry skies. Lot's of Caribou all over the hills out back.
