The brooming thread got me thinking....
Should the state adopt a measurement based standard for defining broomed sheep horns?
Now I know going into this that any measurement can be interpreted and if there was a legal standard based on a measurement there will be sheep killed just under it.
Anyway...given that 1st year horn length is consistently in the 6" to 8" range anything 4" or less would have to be broomed no? Even if the wear was gradual and had a polished versus ragged look. Seems to me that the legal definition should be more objective if possible.
