Default Whittier vs. Seward this week? What do you think?

My 16 yr old nephew is in town this week and I rented a 22' C-Dory to get him on the water and into some salmon. This is how first trip to Alaska and he has never been on a boat let alone fishing. Weather reports look iffy. I wanted to run Whittier a couple of days then Seward.

Trying to figure out my best bet and options...Thanks

Silvers are showing up in the outer reaches of the Sound, but strong numbers are still a pretty good distance from Whittier. Pinks are everywhere right now.

Watch the weather and i will vote for Seward out as far as Calisto Head if you are new to boating.

Best of luck to you and don`t forget to drop a bottom rig out around that point for a chance at Halibut.

weather is looking pretty good. Silvers in the salt are probably better odds in seward.

went to Seward and had the best weather and flat seas !!! PC was a waste of time and had the best luck outside the bay.

We finally picked up a few silvers at one of our usual spots in Prince William Sound this weekend after searching all the way out to Montague. Apparently the Silvers are late or just not coming in large numbers. We did get 2 nice Kings a 30# and 40# among the Silvers and Pinks.
