    Default Halibut in Valdez?

Thinking of taking the kayak out to Valdez for some salmon action. Curious as to wether or not halibut are in close in the bay or not.

There are halibut in Valdez Harbor they are just real deep. Some are caught every year off Mineral Creek, and Anderson Bay.

If they can do it out of a dingy you should be fine.

That is a great story! Love the quote at the end: "Adventure is where you find it, and we found it that day." LMAO!

Matt..... I been snooping around a bit about hallies here. I'm told that folks used to catch them around the piers. The cannery outflow is or was nearby. I haven't had the chance yet to give it a go from shore yet. But I'll get to it. I should be here in Valdez tip fall.
Your sarcasm is way, waaaayyyyyyyy more sarcastic than mine!

when they were at the pier it was because they dumped the guts in there, also they were filled with worms, i caught a 125 one this weekend but it was 70 miles out in 160 feet of water
