Default Finally Hit the Salt for some shrimping

After a long spring and other obligations we finally hit Valdez for the July 4th week. Crappy cold weather, still lots of snow in north facing bays, but the water was calm, company was good, and the shrimp were hungry. 4th of July BBQ aboard the "Seaulater" was about the best eating you could ask for. The wildlife was abundant and cooperative for the cameras as well.

It was nice seeing you out there. I would have loved to spend the remainder of the week there, but my land lubber cousin and his friend were sick of the rain. When did you guys head back? It was a bit bumpy on our way back on the 4th. Great pics!

It was nice meeting you guys as well - It didn't appear that your passengers were enjoying the liquid sunshine - Good thing they weren't holed up on my little tub! - I would have had a mutiny. I didn't even get any pictures of us all together before you guys pulled out. We headed around the bend on Thursday night and back to Valdez on Friday. Water stayed flat all the time we were there and it was smooth sailing. Checked for Reds on the way back and there wasn't any to be found. Hope to meet up again when actually get a chance to BS for a while.

It was nice seeing your guys out there on he 4th as well. Wish we woudl have stayed too, but with the bad weather coming, we decided to follow the Patience and his crew back home too. Maybe next time we can actually get to meet instead of yelling from boat to boat. Nice shrimp pulls. Looks like you guys had a great time.

Pots are the square ones made by Steve the pot builder and the bait was the shrimp pellets he sell as well.

Hello Steve, Just telling it like it is - I have had really good luck with the pots and bait and certainly have no reason to try anything else.

The only thing I need is more time to go fishing and more money to buy fuel
