    Default Noisy Barney's Pack solution

So I was testing out my pack tonight and once again noticed how very noisy the suspension and frame are on my Barney's pack. Does anyone have a solution for this noisy squeaky pack? I tried a little grease under some of the webbing points and it's still noisy and I don't want a heap of messy dust attracting grease on my pack. Grafite powder maybe?

Haven't tried it but the owner of Barney's said that some guys take the webbing off and put duck tape on the frame and put the webbing back over it.

Sounds like a good solution. I have the same problem with the noise. I may give that a try.

You can paint melted candle wax on the squeaky spots - I did that with my Dana external.

For the price of them they should be a quiet hunting pack.

Ahhhh, I'm not the only one! My Barney's pack is noisy! So many squeaks and clanks I don't know where to begin. I've tried to ignore it but it would be nice to listen to the outdoors than my pack!

I hiked with a buddy training for a sheep hunt and his Barney's pack squeaked bad. We ended up putting neosporin on it (all we had at the time). That's the only reason I don't own one.

    Beat me to it.

Seriously though, I'm not worried about a scared animal, I just can't stand the noise. I'd rather listen to the sounds of nature then the sounds of two mice making happy time.

Pack squeaks never bother me either. All packs made some noise to some degree that I have used. I wouldn't let a squeak turn you away from a pack at all.

They make it squeak so you keep your mind off of the 100+ lbs on your back, mine has squeaked since I've bought it 8 yrs ago and 5 of that I worked as a guide and used it on 12 sheephunts, maybe someday it'll quite
