    Does anyone know if it is leagal to Bow fish in Alaska? Has anyone done it?

    I certainly have, but that was back in the early fifties, and long before statehood. Filled both the table and the smoker. I think it's not legal for game fish, though I'm not sure. Look at the GAme Regulations . . . . .

    It is legal for pike in Southcentral.

    What about within the Municipality of Anchorage? There seem to be some unbelievably strict rules as to where you can legally shoot (legally, I can't shoot my bow in my back yard).

    You sure about that? The only thing I see in the minicipal code is that you can't shoot a bow and arrow in a public park except as allowed by the director. I could be missing something though. I shoot in my backyard frequently, just have to make sure you have a good backstop and safe shooting direction.

    Perhaps I was misinformed. You're right in that the muni code doesn't explicitly prohibit using archery equipment, or air rifles for that matter. Thanks for helping to clarify that.
