Default A most glorious Lingcod opener.

    The 80# fish.Aug. 2011- July 2012 059.jpgAug. 2011- July 2012 064.jpgHe doesn't look it, but he is around the 6' mark.

Had the most unbelievable opener I've ever experienced. The weather report was super nice so we ran out to some spots we fished last year and it was awesome! Got a limit of Lings without much trouble but the Halibut we ran into were BIG! Caught 4 in two days of fishing and the smallest was 80#, which we kept. The other 3 were around 100#, 125# and the biggest around 150#, all of which we let go. We even found a few Yelloweyes to top off a great fishing trip!!

None of the Lings were very big, but still very tasty.

    Nice fish!
Appears to be on the east side of Knight Is., if we are having a guessing game.

When we got to Whittier yesterday afternoon, there were carts and carts of Lings at the fish processor.
