The creek above salt water as of yesterday was open for no bait, single hook fishing. She can also fish off the bridge where the creek enters into saltwater anytime.

    Default Fish the creek

    Mikezm,

You and your daughter could even consider walking out to the end of the breakwater at Thomas Basin (that's where Ketchikan Creek flows into the harbor) and fish the salt water side. The fish are often fresher, more eager to bite and saltwater regulations apply. That's where I took my son when he was little when we wanted to catch lots of pink salmon.

    Mikezm,

That's one of those fishing spots where a silver and green pixie will work wonders. Read the regs because its single hook only in the harbor. Aslong as you are casting into the Tongass Narrows, the treble is Ok. But, double check.
