    Good to see a return like that for the Columbia watershed ! It may be an idicator of things in the salt, or an indicator of dam decommisions and other efforts to improve the slamon runs in the NW in general. Only time will tell, and hopefully, this is the begining of a good thing !

    Maybe it shows us that since the Japanese fishing fleet is out of commision that there are a lot of fish that usually get picked up by them are returing to the rivers.

    Maybe the low number of salmon can be blamed on the Japanese current?

    Did you read the article referenced in the first post of this thread? It explains the situation . . . and what do you mean by the Japanese fishing fleet is out of commission?
