    Has any body heard anything on how well the caribou did over the winter?

    Don't Know about the whole herd, but up near Eureka this weeked, we saw over 600+ A good protion of the cows had new calfs too!!

    saw a herd of 100 a week or so ago and they had 25 calves...bulls were looking awesome already!!

    Deep snow doesn't effect caribou as much as moose, they stay in the high country where it is wind blown and they can get to the ground easy. Had some awesome wind storms this past winter, a lot of the mountains out the denali and glenn were near bare at the tops. I think they were doing just fine.
